Searching for new build residential homes on SmartNewHomes is easy, and you have additional options to search for Retirement homes, Shared ownership homes and homes that are eligible for Help to buy.
When searching for your new home, the results can be saved, you can add homes to your favourites list, and even email them to friends and family members as well.
- Go to www.smartnewhomes.com
- On the Home tab, add in your search criteria for your new home
- Enter the Location or Postcode of the area where you want to search
- Select the Min price and Max price from the dropdown menus
- Select the Property type from the dropdown menu
- Select the number of Bedrooms you'd like the property to have, from the dropdown menu
- You can click Advanced search options if you really want to tailor your results
Get more information on how you can refine your property search - Click Help to Buy only if you only want to show Help to Buy eligible homes
- Click Search
- From your search, you can click Create email alert, Save this search, or Share this search

- Open the SmartNewHomes Android App
- Add in your search criteria for your new home
- Enter the Location or Postcode of the area where you want to search. Tap Use current location if you want to use your phones location to focus your search
- Within the Price section, tap No min and No max to open up a list from where you can select the minimum and maximum house price values
- Within the Bedrooms section, tap No min and No max to open up a list from where you can select the number of Bedrooms you'd like the property to have
- Within the Distance from location section, tap This area only to open up a list from where you can select the search radius for potential homes
- Within the Added section, tap Anytime to open up a list from where you can specify whether you search for homes that have been listed in a given time period
- Within the Sort by section, tap Lowest price to open up a list from where you can select how you sort and view the search results
- Within the Property type section, tap Show all to open up a list from where you can select whether to view results for all, Houses or Flats
- In the Include section, you can tick boxes as to whether to view homes that are Help to Buy only, Retirement homes, Shared ownership homes, or those that are Under offer or sold STC
- Tap Search
- From your search, you also have the options to:
- Tap the ellipsis icon on the upper toolbar. From here you can Sort your results, view the results in a Map view, Create email alert, or Save this search
- Tap Save below each listing if you want to favourite a home. You can also Hide it, should you not wish to see it in search results again
