Clearing web browser Cookies and Cache

If you are having an issue registering with us and/or are encountering errors using our site, we advise that you clear your browser cookies and cache as this can sometimes help to alleviate any problems.
Please follow the instructions for your relevant browser.

Clearing web browser Cookies

Google Chrome:

  1. Click the ellipsis icon (3 dots) at the top right of your browser window
  2. Click Settings
  3. In the Privacy and security section, click Clear browsing data
  4. Ensure that only the Cookies and other site data box is ticked
  5. Click Clear data

To add a site to allow all cookies and site data:

  1. Click the ellipsis icon (3 dots) at the top right of your browser window
  2. Click Settings
  3. In the Privacy and security section, click Site settings
  4. In the Content section, click Cookies and site data
  5. In the Sites that can always use cookies section, click Add
  6. In the Site field, type in www.smartnewhomes.com and click Add

Firefox:

  1. Click on the burger icon (3 lines) at the top right of your browser window
  2. Click Options
  3. Click the Privacy & Security tab
  4. Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data. Click Clear Data
  5. Ensure that only the Cookies and Site Data box is ticked
  6. Click Clear

To add a site to allow all cookies and site data:

  1. Click on the burger icon (3 lines) at the top right of your browser window
  2. Click Options
  3. Click the Privacy & Security tab
  4. Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data. Click Manage Exceptions
  5. In the Address of website field, type in www.smartnewhomes.com and click Allow
  6. Click Save Changes

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Click Settings and more (the ...) at the top right of your browser window
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click the Privacy, search and services tab
  4. Scroll down to Clear browsing data. Alongside Clear browsing data now, click Choose what to clear
  5. Ensure that only the Cookies and other site data box is ticked
  6. Click Clear now

To add a site to allow all cookies and site data:

  1. Click Settings and more (the ...) at the top right of your browser window
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click the Cookies and site permissions tab
  4. Click Cookies and site data
  5. Scroll down to Allow and click Add
  6. In the Site field, type in www.smartnewhomes.com and click Add

Clearing your Cache

Google Chrome:

  1. Click the ellipsis icon (3 dots) at the top right of your browser window
  2. Click Settings
  3. In the Privacy and security section, click Clear browsing data
  4. Ensure that only the Cached images and files box is ticked
  5. Click Clear data

Firefox:

  1. Click on the burger icon (3 lines) at the top right of your browser window
  2. Click Options
  3. Click the Privacy & Security tab
  4. Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data. Click Clear Data
  5. Ensure that only the Cached Web Content box is ticked
  6. Click Clear

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Click Settings and more (the ...) at the top right of your browser window
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click the Privacy, search and services tab
  4. Scroll down to Clear browsing data. Alongside Clear browsing data now, click Choose what to clear
  5. Ensure that only the Cached images and files box is ticked
  6. Click Clear now
